Congratulations! If you are reading this it is probably because you have a new baby, or are expecting a new addition to your family. Perhaps you are wondering if an older child can also be Baptised. Here is some information to help you:

Please note there are no Baptisms during the Advent and Lenten seasons.

Prior to the Baptism, parents (and Godparents if they live in the Deanery of Brentwood), are invited to attend a 2 hour session at the church to help prepare for your child’s Baptism. Please ask a member of the Parish to find out who to get in touch with in order to register your child's Baptism and to arrange your course dates before confirming the date of your child’s Baptism.

It is usual to make contact at least six months in advance of the desired Baptism date but we understand that there may be circumstances where this is not possible, so please reach out and ask if uncertain.

When thinking about choosing Godparents for your child, the Church has some guidelines which a member of the Parish would be more than happy to explain to you.

It is wonderful that you are considering having your child Baptised as this sacrament is the basis of the whole Christian life. We will do all we can to help you as you prepare for this important step for your child.
